Effective bed bug treatments
The bites on the skin are the first indication of the presence of bed bugs in a dwelling. In general, the arms, neck and all exposed areas of the body are susceptible to attack. The lesions are grouped in groups of three or four reddish patches and the itching caused by these is so severe that they can lead to skin infections and leave scars afterwards.
Before the intervention of the professional: prepare the premises
Preparing the room to be disinfected is an important step before a bed bug disinsection operation. For this, our experts ensure the application of the following rules:
– Empty chests of drawers, wardrobes, bedside tables close to the infested area;
– Thoroughly vacuum the places where the bedbugs may have lodged and then throw the bag in the trash outside the house;
– Take down paintings, posters or any other wall decoration that could be a bed bug nest;
– Do not introduce new furniture into the house to prevent the infestation from spreading;
– Dismantle all the furniture in the house in the event of a heavy infestation.
The preliminaries being done, our technicians take care of the rest of the intervention as soon as possible. Preparing the site before the intervention makes it possible to determine the degree of infestation and to optimize the effectiveness of the product to be applied.
Insecticides to control bed bugs
We apply our insecticide treatments in three different forms:
– With a low pressure sprayer: the technician will apply the product on all the supports where the bed bugs have been able to settle and he will insist particularly on the parquet, the cracks and the furniture;
– With a damper: this is a device that allows you to vaporize droplets propelled by a turbine mixing air with the active product;
– By fumigation: this is a ready-to-use container that releases insecticide particles on all areas where bedbugs could hide
Growth regulators
The treatment with insecticides can be supplemented by growth regulators which are not to be outdone in the fight against bedbugs. Growth regulators are a set of means used not to kill pests but to disrupt their growth, development and reproduction process. Growth regulators have the advantage of being molecules with low toxicity for domestic animals and for human beings.
Natural treatments: why not ?
Although we talk about it, the choice of a natural treatment against bedbugs remains an optional choice because the products and tips offered by natural enthusiasts have not really yet proven their effectiveness in the fight against bedbugs. For this, we advise you to use natural treatments as an intermediate solution at least until a professional comes to your rescue. Calling on a professional allows you to ensure the total extermination of harmful insects.
It is also important to know that all insecticides and growth regulators do not have the same effectiveness and that the most efficient are reserved for professional use, so do not hesitate to contact us and we will be able to implement these products in completely safe. In case of recurrence, we will carry out another treatment during the follow-up and always at very competitive prices.
