Bed bugs: infestation and extermination
Bedbugs are found in any type of residence, whether luxurious or modest, clean or unsanitary. There is no shame if these insects are in your home, the most important thing is to act quickly and efficiently by calling on one of our experts.
Description and habits of the animal
The bed bug has a flat and rounded shape, brown in color when adult, it swells after a meal and then takes on a dark brown color. There are three stages in the development of a bed bug namely egg, nymph and adult; the egg has a white color which allows it to be distinguished from the nymph which has the same coloring as the adult. During the day, the animal hides behind paintings, bed frames, wallpaper and does not come out until nightfall to feed on the blood of its deeply asleep ribs, the duration of its meal varies from 10 to 15 minutes. If the animal feeds regularly, it will tend to stray very little from its host, whereas if the latter moves, the bug migrates elsewhere in search of its new prey.
Bed bugs and disease
Bed bug bites on the skin are typical, they come in a clustered or line form consisting of three to four bites in the same place. It should be noted that the animal only attacks the parts exposed during sleep, including the arms, legs and face. In some cases, the bites will cause small reddish lesions to form in the affected area which will grow and harden over time. These lesions are bothersome because they are itchy, cause itching, fatigue, sleep disturbances and anxiety. Do not hesitate to call us if you suspect their presence in your home.
